Located at the gates of the old town of Locarno on a busy intersection between the city center and the hill, the project creates a podium above which a courtyard creates the common living space of the residence.

The courtyard is defined to the north by the common activity room, to the south by four apartments, to the east by a green wall and the west by the tower that houses the remaining sixteen apartments.

All apartments for rent are studios with double exposure, so the common space is central to the project. A place of leisure meeting, protected from the noise of the city.

The design typology, as well as the proportion of the openings, evoke the medieval courtyard houses. The building becomes the head and the natural end of the neighborhood.
